    美国科学家成功制造出波长255nm波长极深紫外发光二极管

    SET 推出微型 LED 紫外杀菌灯

     

     总部在美国南卡罗林纳州哥伦比亚市的Sensor Electronic Technologies(SET)推出了一种新杀菌灯-UVTop-260L。据该公司负责深紫外LED研发的华人物理学家孙文红博士介绍,此灯的波长能最大程度地被有害微生物、病毒的DNA吸收。这款基于AlGaN LED的杀菌灯, 可发出最有效的紫外线(波长 260-262nm)用于水、空气和物体表面的消毒、杀菌、净化。孙博士声称,低压水银灯(冷阴极荧光灯) 净化水时的工作波长 254nm 并不是冻结微生物 DNA 的最优化波长。SET 指出该灭菌系统还具有轻便、低耗、高速等优点。

      美国南卡罗来纳大学的Asif Khan教授和SET公司的孙文红博士等人成功制造出波长255nm、功率0.57W以及波长250nm、功率0.16W的紫外发光二极管(LED)。此波段的极深紫外光(ultradeep ultraviolet, UDUV)光源未来可能取代水银灯泡,作为生物与化学传感器的激发光源。

      研究人员在脉冲偏压条件(pulsed biased conditions)下测试了波长为255nm200平方微米的组件以及波长为250nm150平方微米的组件,两者的尖峰输出功率对应的激发电流分别为200mA300mA,射极(emitter)的外部量子效率(external quantum efficiencies)分别为0.015﹪及0.01﹪。
